The keto diet, or low-carbohydrate, is an eating plan that includes eating mostly low-fat, high-carb foods and avoiding refined sugar, salt, and fat.
It can also be used as a replacement for traditional white bread, rice, pasta, and other traditional American fare.
Keto snacks have become a hit among kids, especially the first few years of their life.
According to Dr. Michelle A. Kopp, a professor of pediatrics at the University of California San Francisco and a member of the Atkins Nutrition Program, the keto snack diet is so popular that there are now a handful of keto brands in stores and on the market.
The most popular keto brand is Keto, which was founded by Dr. Richard Klein, who is a professor at New York University.
It’s also the ketogenic diet, which is a low-glycemic-index diet that includes a ketone (a chemical produced by the body when glucose is metabolized) in addition to the carbs.
“Keto is one of the most popular diets because it has a very low glycemic index, low calorie content, and it has zero sugar,” Klein said.
Another popular ketogenic keto line is Keto Chow, which claims to have “low carbs, high fat, and zero sugar.”
The product comes in a sleek white tube, with a sweet almond-shaped wrapper that’s filled with a ketogenic blend of low-sugar, low-calorie sweeteners.
“There are a lot of brands out there,” Kopp said.
“And you’re going to see people buying products like Keto-Chow that are really high in carbs, but low in sugar.”
One keto-friendly snack that is gaining popularity in stores is Fat Free Coconut Rice, which features a coconut cream filling and is marketed as “a low-fiber, keto, low carb snack” that is “perfect for children who want to be more active.”
“We’ve found that kids who like the ketos really like the fats, but they like the sweetness, too,” Klein told ABC News.
“They enjoy the crunchiness of the coconut.
We want to keep that in the mix.”
Kanee says the Ketogenic Diet is “the only way” to lose weight, even though the kids in her study were all overweight or obese.
“The kids in our study are all in the 30s and 40s, and most of them are overweight or very obese,” she said.
“The only way they can lose weight is if they are eating a keto or a low carb diet.
So the kids need to find a way to get on that diet.”
