Aussie pumpkin pie maker Liz Poon is selling her recipe for pumpkin cake at home, complete with cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, ginger, cloves of garlic and a dash of vanilla extract.
“It’s all in the ingredients, you don’t need to go to a shop and buy all that stuff,” Ms Poon said.
“You just put the ingredients together and bake it.”
She’s hoping her homemade pumpkin cake is a hit.
Ms Poomin’s pumpkin pie recipe is based on her favourite holiday pumpkin pie that has been baking at home since January.
She said her pumpkin pie was the one she made in her kitchen at home for the last three years.
“I have a lot of friends who love it,” Ms Dallen said.
Ms Dillen’s pumpkin cake includes a layer of cinnamon and a layer or two of nutmeg.
“When it’s done, I take the pumpkin out of the oven and I scoop the pumpkin into the bowl and throw it into the oven to set,” Ms Mink said.
The pumpkin cake was one of the best of the four recipes she has been making.
Ms Minks mother and sister both enjoy pumpkin pie and she said her recipe was one they both would make.
“My mum would love it and my sister loves it,” she said.
“We just love to make the pumpkin pie, and we love to serve it with chocolate pudding.”
Ms Dellens pumpkin cake has been sitting in her freezer for three years now.
It took more than two months for the cake to be ready for sale.

The Pumpkin Queen is back in business, but the recipe is a bit different.
Ms Richey said the pumpkin cake needs more pumpkin than just a base of cinnamon.
“There needs to be a bit of spice to it and a bit more pumpkin in the icing,” she explained.
Ms Dillens pumpkin pie has been a hit with her family and friends.
There are several different pumpkin recipes out there, but Ms Dilkens favourite is the original pumpkin pie.
“We use pumpkin in everything and that’s my favourite,” she quipped.
While there’s been a boom in pumpkin cake sales in recent months, it’s important to note that you need to follow the recipe exactly.
